Restylane® FACIAL INJECTIONS
The Restylane® line of products are non-neurotoxin filler gels that consist of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a natural substance produced by the body. Over time, the body produces less HA which causes the skin to sag, wrinkle and lose volume.
Restylane® has developed a family of products that are designed to treat specific areas of the face. For example, Restylane® Lyft targets the cheeks to provide firmer and lifted cheeks and Restylane® Silk is designed to provide fuller lips with fewer lines around them.
The Restylane® line of products is formulated to act like your body’s own naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, restoring volume to your skin.
HOW IT WORKS
A Restylane® injection is designed to work like the substance, hyaluronic acid, which is produced in the body. It is a clear gel that is injected in the facial tissues of the face that will fill-in creases reducing the appearance of wrinkles while producing firmer and smoother skin.
Everyone has their own unique needs so one or more of the following Restylane® products may be used on patients over the age of 21 depending on the desired outcome and experience of the Rosemark aesthetics professional:
- Restylane® and Restylane-L® are for mid-to-deep injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.
- Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine is for deep implantation into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds and for cheek augmentation and for the correction of age-related mid-face contour deficiencies.

IS RESTYLANE® SAFE?
The most commonly observed side effects are swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache, tenderness, lump formation, and itching at the injection site. These are typically mild in severity and typically resolve in less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips. Patients who are pregnant, have allergies or have other health concerns should tell their Rosemark provider before treatment.
