Fetal Kick Count

feeling a pregnant mother's tummy. To check on the health of your baby, a simple fetal kick count, also known as a fetal movement count, will provide a measurement to gauge your baby’s development.

So how many kicks should you feel?

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that you time how long it takes you to feel 10 kicks, flutters, swishes, or rolls. Ideally, you want to feel at least 10 movements within 2 hours. You will likely feel 10 movements in less time than that.

If you have concerns about your baby’s movement or absence of movement, as always, feel free to call our office.
