About Valerie
Valerie Morris began her nursing career at Rosemark Women Care Specialists in 2012 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. It was during this time that her passion for women’s healthcare truly took root. Inspired by the strength of the women she cared for and the impact of compassionate providers around her, Valerie continued her education to expand her role in women’s health.
She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Eastern Idaho Technical College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boise State University, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. There, she obtained dual certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) and Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC).
Throughout her advanced education, Valerie cultivated her passion for pregnancy and childbirth while broadening her expertise in comprehensive women’s healthcare.
Before returning to Rosemark in August 2022 as a certified nurse-midwife and nurse practitioner, Valerie gained extensive labor and delivery experience at several local hospitals, including Bingham Memorial Hospital, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, and Mountain View Hospital. She served as a Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse for four years, strengthening her leadership skills and deepening her understanding of collaborative, hospital-based maternity care.
In 2026, she became the first and currently the only Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional in Idaho. Spinning Babies® brings together the physiological relationship of the birthing body and the baby’s position to understand fetal rotation and facilitate birth. It has been proven to significantly reduce cesarean rates and increase parent satisfaction with their care and their birth. Spinning Babies® is extremely cost effective and can be done by parents, doulas and nurses. As a certified birth professional. Valerie can identify and address multiple causes of labor dystocia, length of labor, and ease pain in childbirth.
Valerie reminds her patients that birth is a natural process, not a medical condition, however, skilled intervention can sometimes be necessary to ensure the safest outcome. She offers in-hospital unmedicated births as well as epidural-supported births, always prioritizing a mother’s sense of empowerment, safety, and support.
Her philosophy of care is rooted in education and shared decision-making. Valerie provides thorough, evidence-based information so her patients feel confident navigating both the joys and unexpected challenges that can arise during pregnancy and childbirth. She emphasizes that the best birth is one where the mother feels heard, supported, and surrounded by a trusted team.
Valerie works closely with OB/GYN physicians and labor and delivery nursing staff, recognizing that strong collaboration is essential for healthy mothers and babies. She values the teamwork that allows patients to receive comprehensive, seamless care.
She is passionate about dispelling common misconceptions about midwifery. Certified nurse-midwives are properly educated and prepared earning master’s degrees (some with doctoral education) who undergo extensive clinical training in normal and complicated pregnancies, women’s health conditions, and primary care.
Valerie firmly believes that every woman, at every stage of life, can benefit from the care of a midwife.
Personal Background
Growing up in a military family, Valerie moved throughout the country before eventually settling in Idaho, where she now proudly calls home.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and five children.

Valerie enjoys being outdoors, reading adventure and fantasy novels, crafting and sewing, preserving food through freeze drying and canning, and continually trying new things.
Valerie’s advice to her younger self, and a philosophy she still lives by today, is simple: Never stop learning.
In addition to pregnancy and delivery, Valerie provides:
- Well-woman exams and annual visits
- Pap smears and preventive screenings
- Preconception counseling and premarital exams
- Birth control consultations and IUD insertion
- Menopause management
- Basic primary care and treatment for common women’s health concerns
