Dr. Christopher “Chris” Allphin, MD, is a Board-Certified OB/GYN who has been dedicated to serving the Idaho Falls community since 2013. After completing his medical training, he served as the Chief Resident at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where he gained extensive experience in obstetrics and gynecology. Since moving to Idaho Falls, he has delivered thousands of babies, providing compassionate, expert care to mothers and families throughout the region.
In addition to his expertise in obstetrics, Dr. Allphin is trained and certified in advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, allowing him to perform advanced gynecological procedures with precision and faster recovery times for his patients. Dr. Christopher “Chris” Allphin, MD, began his education at Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in philosophy while also completing a pre-medical emphasis. His passion for medicine led him to Saba University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree before completing his residency at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. His diverse academic background has helped shape his well-rounded approach to patient care, blending medical expertise with a deep understanding of communication and critical thinking.
Beyond his career in medicine, Dr. Allphin is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending time with his family. Whether it’s fishing, hunting, camping, or exploring the underwater world through snorkeling and scuba diving, he loves immersing himself in nature whenever he has the chance.
