Heather is an Idaho Falls midwife that thoroughly enjoys being a part of life changing experiences that happen every day. She enjoys contributing to the arrival of new life and appreciates the women and their families that allow her to be a part of the birthing process as a trusted midwife.

Prior to becoming a midwife, Heather was a labor and delivery nurse for sixteen years. This experience along with her desire to continually learn and share new things led her along the path to pursue her clinical expertise as a nurse midwife.

Heather is very concerned about all kinds of women health care issues and has been very active in sexual assault situations. She served as a sexual assault nurse examiner, known as SANE. While working in this capacity, Heather assisted women who have been sexually assaulted to formulate a plan that will work best in their particular circumstance.

At Rosemark, Heather is excited to serve the Idaho Falls and surrounding communities as a midwife and caregiver to women. With the great resources that Rosemark has to offer, Heather draws on this expertise to achieve optimal patient care.

Personal Background

Heather and her husband are the proud parents of three boys. She finds it ironic or perhaps fitting that she is in a household of all men after working with women all day long with women’s health issues.

Before she and her husband met, Heather had earned her first bachelor’s degree in integrative arts and worked for a while as a graphic designer. Shortly thereafter, Heather joined the Army National Guard where she was trained as a personnel services specialist and a medic.

Heather embraces her love for art and gets very excited about great pieces of art. She loves yard sales and thrift stores!
